Before I scream at the top of my lungs about how obsessed I am with this cover story, let’s take it back to December 2021.

I’m sitting cross legged on my couch, listening to the fountain in the courtyard below peacefully run while I brainstorm what I want out of 2022.

“My 2022 NYE Goals” is neatly sitting at the top of the paper, followed by a tiny heart I made my signature since middle school. Writing headers of categories like I always do in sections of my journal: career, financial, personal and relationships, I think about what goals I want to set for this coming year. Pulling off the cap, I smear a sky blue highlight across the word “career” and carefully place it back next to me. Then, I pull out my ballpoint pen, draw a bullet point and write “magazine cover” as the first goal of 2022.

Flash forward to February where I shot a spread for QP magazine. It wasn’t a cover, but I nonetheless I was still excited!

After the beautiful spread was released, the same photographer, Arezoo Jalali, reached out about an opportunity for a wig magazine shoot. A friend, Riri Roya, creates one-of-a-kind wigs, all made by real hair as a side project. The wigs were all colors, shapes and lengths, and she has won many awards for her creative eye. Arezoo thought I would be a perfect fit to model these stunning wigs for another spread. Of course I accepted.

The catch? It was a cover. And not just any cover, but for the legendary Glamour Magazine!

It fills my entire being up with so much love to see this come to life. I can’t believe I set this goal and manifested it into my life by October 2022. This is such a special moment for me, and I am grateful beyond words. Dreams to reality: That’s my goal forever.
